Do you like Green Day?
Had the time of your life:
Another turning point a fork stuck in the road
Time grabs you by the wrist directs you where to go
So make the best of this test and don't ask why
It's not a question but a lesson learned in time
It's something unpredictable
But in the end is right
I hope you had the time of your life
So take the photographs and still frames in your mind
Hang it on a shelf in good health and good time
Tattoos of memories and dead skin on trial
For what it's worth it was worth all the while
It's something unpredictable
But in the end is right
I hope you had the time of your life
It's something unpredictable
But in the end is rightI hope you had the time of your life
It's something unpredictable
But in the end is right
I hope you had the time of your life

Unbelievable!
It's a scary thought seeing people unable to evacuate, but he brings up an interesting thought, what if these people were trying to evacuate because of some biological attack?
I hope that more can be done to get aid and help people out.

Doc has done it again!
So I have been inspired to make it a blog moment.
In his article he shares about talk being cheap, and hey!.... It can be.
As he says:
"There are over a billion people on the planet who have solemnly promised to live a life of loving service to God. For that is what baptism and confirmation mean. Millions renew this promise each Sunday. That’s what saying the creed and receiving communion mean. But what do our actions say? Sadly, most baptized Christians have lifestyles that don’t quite match the words they profess.
Actions speak louder than words. The tongue often lies. But body language never lies. It reveals our true trajectory, our real priorities. "

The amazing eggs!
Also from the same site I want to link to Bricks from the ashes a song written by a survivor of an abusive relationship.
Ok now that's it for todays links =)
*Update! I got the bricks from the ashes story wrong, it was not written by someone who had been abused, but for those who have been, the story leading up to the songwriting is a long but amazing one, it was inspired by the songwriters dream, but if you really want to know I guess you would just click on the link :)
as I was surfin the blogs....
Men of course do not get to experience pregnancy, and the closeness of feeling a life growing inside, but I find it pretty cool to hear them take a special interest and marvel at it all. Fathers can go through the pregnancy together with the mother by understanding all about what is going on inside.
The way a life begins and grows is just so amazing, there is a lot to learn for those who don't know exactly what happens in there!
Babies are so cute too!
Speaking of fathers, today is the anniversary of my fathers death, 4 years ago. He died of cancer but I close away all memories of the sickness and remember the wonderful times.
I found a poem from here and wanted to post it
A little girl needs Daddy,
For many, many things:
Like holding her high off the ground
Where the sunlight sings!
Like being the deep music
That tells her all is right
When she awakens frantic with
The terrors of the night.
Like being the great mountain
That rises in her heart
And shows her how she might get home
When all else falls apart.
Like giving her the love
That is her sea and air,
So diving deep or soaring high
She'll always find him there.

That Kiss!
Sorrowful
Weeping she hath wept in the night,
and her tears are on her cheeks:
there is none to comfort her among all them that were dear to her:
all her friends have despised her,
and are become her enemies

You are the Cross for the sick: This cross is
typically made out of walnut and it has a
hidden chamber that contains holy water and two
blessed candles. It is carried to the home or
hospital to bless the sick.

Fathers day
Psalm 68: 5-6

6 God settles the solitary in a home; he leads out the prisoners to prosperity, but the rebellious dwell in a parched land.

The Gate
Here is what I have chosen to be my favorite scripture reading of the day:
“Very truly, I tell you, I am the gate for the sheep. All who came before me are thieves and bandits; but the sheep did not listen to them. I am the gate. Whoever enters by me will be saved, and will come in and go out and find pasture. The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.”
