Finding comfort

Anyone out there who has lost someone they love , knows what it's like to grieve.
Most people know that their loved ones are with God, or "somewhere" out there even.
No one can give you the promise and comfort like our God does. I don't know of other beliefs giving quite the same "peaceful" thoughts as what is written in the Holy Bible.
Here is a message that comforted me and brought peace to my soul, I hope that it brings peace to yours too:

1 Thessalonians 4:13 (translation "New Jerusalem Bible")

The dead and the living at the time of the Lord's coming

We want you to be quite certain, brothers, about those who have fallen asleep, to make sure that you do not grieve for them, as others who have no hope.
We believe that Jesus died and rose again, and that in the same way God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep in Jesus.
We can tell you this from the Lord's own teaching, that we who are still alive for the Lord's coming will not have any advantage over those who have fallen asleep.
At the signal given by the voice of the Archangel and the trumpet of God, the Lord himself will come down from heaven, those who have died in Christ will be the first to rise, and only to meet the Lord in the air.
This is the way we shall be with the Lord for ever.
With such thoughts as these, then, you should encourage one another.

As it says, "we should encourage one another" I hope to encourage you.
