Advent Season

Is everyone enjoying the Advent season? It's hard to believe that it's almost Christmas! Time goes so fast, but I am looking forward to it and enjoying the whole season, including now which is the 3rd week in Advent. We have been lighting our wreath and it has been great doing this together.
We are going to spend time with my husbands family this Christmas, who live out of town, so it's going to be so nice getting away and being together.
Being such a busy time of the year, I hope to post another blog entry, but if I don't, have a wonderful Christmas!!

Westroads Mall, a gun free zone

With all the attention on the very tragic shooting at the Westroads Mall in Omaha, why have the media failed to mention that this mall was a gun free zone?
A shooter and criminal will ignore the gun free zone signs, while law abiding permit holders will leave their guns at home.
Another mall shooting happened in February at the Trolley Square Mall in Utah, this mall too was a gun free zone, the attack was stopped by an off duty police officer who ignored the sign and thank goodness had a gun.
I was reading here that research has been showing for years that multiple victim public shootings keep occurring in places where guns are banned.
Any madman/woman can illegally buy a gun and be walking in malls, schools and on the street, wouldn't you feel safer if more law abiding citizens with permits had their guns with them too?
Are these gun free zones disarming the victims, while giving the shooter less to fear? I think so.
I would feel safer with a gun in my purse, it may not save me, but I would at least have a better chance.

Jennifer Love Hewitt is NOT fat!!

Jennifer Love Hewitt is not fat at all, she is healthy and radiant looking. Focusing on a size 2 womans butt is the wrong thing to do. No wonder there are so many pressures out there on young girls, and all this crash dieting/anorexia going on. Size zero should not be the ideal.
Size zero models look unhealthy and their airbrushed pictures in magazines are very unrealistic. We wonder why everyone rushes to plastic surgery and feel unhappy with their bodies, now matter how many times you tell them they look great.
My opinion is that Jennifer Love Hewitt is a beautiful woman.
None of us can be airbrushed beauties at the beach in a bikini.

I have been lazy

It's not that I've been lazy, but blog lazy. Everything seems to happen around November/December, it's always been the busiest time of year for me. I can't wait for the Christmas break because my husband and daughter get time off work/school.
Nothing new has happened, I did get sick last month and was taking naps in the day, which I can't stand doing normally. Now I am all better and have more energy so I will be back to the blogging. I am still pregnant, at this stage I feel like I have swallowed a huge basketball, it's hard to get my socks on or bend over to pick something up, so when I do actually drop something I get a bit impatient.
We are getting quite a lot of snow, it's pretty from inside where I am warm. I did get out in the snow yesterday though, I wanted to try plowing the driveway (with a shovel not a plow, we don't have one) to see how difficult it was, well it's easy!! Well not that easy but do-able at least. Pregnant women can shovel snow too!
That might sound strange to those of you who live in these cold parts, but this will be my first Ohio winter, so all is new to me.
I wish that I had something more creative to share than to talk about myself, I will come up with something soon and I will visit blogs soon too.
Have a great december, Oh and for those who are interested in the Church year, Advent has begun!!
Bye bye!!

*my husband is doing the shoveling now, he said "you're pregnant" (yes he is lovely) so all the credit of nice driveways goes to him now.
