Oh yeah!

Well i'm in a good mood. Because, what I was waiting for in the mail was my US. visa, (not a mail order husband like phats said) and finally after what seemed forever, I got approved and it's all so good! Jonathan and I are pretty over the moon. Yay! Thanks for the well wishes and prayers while I was waiting.

Also, thanks to 4hischurch and nabeel, I can now embed a youtube video. Here is a clip from Greenday and U2 called "the saints are coming" You might or might not like it, but I do.

Rambling on as I do

Well I really haven't had too much interesting things to tell you lately i'm afraid. Sorry about that. At the moment i've been concentrating on something that i'm waiting in the mail, I can't say what it is just yet, but hopefully I can tell you soon.
I can really feel summer comming on, it's starting to get hot, we could use some rain over here too, there are some very drought stricken areas, it's quite a disaster. But we are still officially in spring, just a hotter than normal one.
All the seasons have been considerably warmer and it has killed a lot of the coral on the
Great barrier reef which is so sad because it's so beautiful.
I have been reading for years about global warming is increasing the ocean temprature and it's caused a lot of coral to die.
Well that's about all my rambling, it's short and I promise more next week when I am able to concentrate on the things I want to concentrate on. By the way, i'm not proof reading my post so excuse any mistakes.
Blog ya later!

Cats

Jonathan showed this to me a while ago, I have since watched it a few times and think it's so funny. However! I don't know about the last cat yet, it seems a bit dodgy to me as to whether it's real or not. Again, the "embedding" won't work so here is the link to Cats

Saint's meme

Argent tagged me with this Saint's meme.

1. If you were invited to a Halloween/ All Saints Day Costume Party, which saint would you dress up as and why?
I've never been to a halloween/all saints costume party, but if I were to choose a saint to dress as it would be St.Agnes of Rome. I would dress as her because I would want people to ask me about her so I could tell them her amazing life story. In fact, if you want to know it click here.
2. Which saint or other person would accompany you to the party?
I would want Jonathan to accompany me to the party, i'm not sure who he would dress as, probably St.Justin matyr or some one special. As for a saint, I would probably choose St.Francis of Asissi, because of what they say of his personality.
3. What famous quote would help others identify you?
She lived, she tried, she was not afraid to go.....I made that up I'll give you this one which is what almost identifies with me:
Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints. (Ephesians 6:18)”

4. Describe your costume.

I would wear a white tunic type of dress to reflect St.Anges' purity, and I would carry a toy lamb.
5. Which movie or film best depicts the life of this saint?
I haven't seen a movie about St.Agnes of Rome so I don't know.

If you want to do it you're tagged.

Fr.Stan Fortuna

I was reading the blog
Dympnas Well where I found this little gem. It's Fr.Stan Fortuna, a Franciscan who can rap. If you want to check out one of his video clips click on this youtube link Here I cannot embed the video on here sorry, it's not working that way for some reason. This is certainly different, and I like his idea of using his gift to do God's work.

Baby!!

I went to see my cousins one month old baby. She is soooo cute. I held her, she fell asleep on my arm, and then woke up and snuggled on my chest. She smelled so good too!
She poked her tongue out a bit and slept with her mouth open. Ahhhh babies babies!

Water

I came across this quote...
Water has no taste, no color, no odor; it cannot be defined, art relished while ever mysterious. Not necessary to life, but rather life itself. It fills us with a gratification that exceeds the delight of the senses.
ANTOINE DE SAINT-EXUPERY (1900-1944), Wind, Sand, and Stars, 1939

By the way, the other night I went out and watched "The devil wears prada" it's a good fun movie. It's been out for ages I know I know.

Another is the St.Joseph gallery I found some beautiful images of St.Joseph, mostly that I have not seen before, along with Holy Family images.

Target: Kids in school

Haven't we already seen enough school executions in the past few weeks? Waking up to the news of 3 different shootings in 3 different schools in a week, is frightening. It seems that schools are just open and easy targets. Only this morning we heard of the gunman who opened fire in an Amish School shooting 11 girls, over some grudge he has kept for 20 years! If you keep a grudge for so long, you obviously need some kind of counselling.
It's becomming unsafe to send children to schools, in case a mentally disturbed, revenge seeking gunman is around.

Just last week there was the Colorado shooting, and before that the Canadian mess. Students are easy targets.

Watch, dear Lord, with those who wake or watch or weep tonight,
and give your angels charge over those who sleep.
Tend your sick ones, O Lord Jesus Christ, rest your weary ones,
bless your dying ones, soothe your suffering ones, shield your joyous ones,
and all for your love’s sake.
Amen

Geography meme

Jonathan has tagged me on this one:

1. A Place You've Visited and Your Favorite Thing there.
The "Gold Coast" in Queensland Australia. I was sad leaving. My favorite thing there is the beaches and the sea breeze smell in the air.
2. A Country You'd Like to Visit and Why
I would love to visit Italy, because of my heritage, my parents were from there and I would love to see their home towns. I would also love to see Rome, because of my Catholic faith, and visit la sancta scala.
3. A Place From History You'd Like to Visit and Why
Rome of course! Not to forget Scotland and Ireland.
4. A Place You Know A Lot About
My town and state since i've lived here for so long.
5. A Place You'd Like to Learn More About
Ohio, USA. I already know quite a bit but I know there is more!
6. A Fictional Place You'd Like to Visit
I find this to be such a stupid question, maybe it's my morning grumpy mood. I guess Narnia, it looked magical and absolutely beautiful.

I'm sure you were all just dying to know that.

I want to tag
Jack from Idle Mendacity, yes don't be surprised I always tag you first!
Then I would like to tag St.Peters Helpers
also Danny from Irish and dangerous.
And Maria from Dialogue.

No pressure to do it busy people!

PS!!!
Happy
Feast day of the Guardian Angels
Here is a picture that is my favorite when it comes to guardian angels, I know they don't look like giant ladies, but I love this because my grandparents used to have it above their bed and they would tell me all about the angels when I asked what this picture was about, so since it's my blog and I can do what I want, I want to add this picture.
