Butterfly Kisses

I remember listening to this song a few years ago and liking it, now I recently heard it again and wanted to post the words. I was reading about someone's wedding and how the bride and her father both waltzed to this.
It was written by a father for his daughter, It's called "Butterfly Kisses" .....Sorry it's a bit mushy and soft.

She was sent here from heaven
and she's daddy's little girl
As I drop to my knees by her bed at night
She talks to Jesus and I close my eyes
And I thank God for all the joy in my life.
Oh, but most of all,
For butterfly kisses after bedtime prayer,
Sticking little white flowers up in her hair.
"Walk beside the pony daddy it's my first ride"
"I know the cake looks funny, daddy,
but i've sure tried"
In all that I've done wrong I know I must have done
something right to deserve a hug every morning and butterfly
kisses at night.

Sweet 16 today,
She's looking like her mama a little more every day
One part woman, the other part girl,
To perfume and make-up from ribbons and curls
Trying her wings out in a great big world.

But I remember
Butterfly kisses after bed time prayer,
Sticking little white flowers all up in her hair.
"You know how much I love you daddy
but if you don't mind, I'm only gonna kiss you on the cheek this time"
With all that I've done wrong, I must have done something right,
to deserve her love every morning and butterfly kisses
at night.

All the precious time,
Like the wind, the years go by,
Precious butterfly.
Spread your wings and fly.

She'll change her name today,
She'll make a promise and i'll give her away,
Standing in the bride room, just staring at her,
She asked me what I'm thinking and I said:
"I'm not sure - I just feel like I'm losing my baby girl"
She leaned over and gave me butterfly kisses
with her mama there,
Sticking little white flowers all up in her hair.
"Walk me down the aisle, Daddy,
it's just about time"
"Does my wedding gown look pertty Daddy?"
"Daddy don't cry!"
Oh with all that Ive done wrong, I must have done
something right.
To deserve your love every morning And butterfly
And butterfly kisses, I couldn't ask God for more,
Man this is what love is.

I know I gotta let her go, but I'll always remember every
hug in the morning and butterfly kisses"

How many did you know?

I wonder if you already knew any these scientific facts.....

No matter its size or thickness, no piece of paper can be folded in half more than 7 times.

Snakes are true carnivorous because they eat nothing but other animals. They do not eat any type of plant material.

The blue whale can produce sounds up to 188 decibels. This is the loudest sound produced by a living animal and has been detected as far away as 530 miles.

Human jaw muscles can generate a force of 200 pounds (90.8 kilograms) on the molars.

The highest temperature produced in a laboratory was 920,000,000 F (511,000,000 C) at the Tokamak Fusion Test Reactor in Princeton, NJ, USA.

If you could throw a snowball fast enough, it would totally vaporize when it hit a brick wall.

Hershey's Kisses are called that because the machine that makes them looks like it's kissing the conveyor belt.

Super Glue was invented by accident. The researcher was trying to make optical coating materials, and would test their properties by putting them between two prisms and shining light through them. When he tried the cyano-acrylate, he couldn't get the prisms apart.

Cats have over one hundred vocal sounds, while dogs only have about ten.

Porcupines float in water.

An ostrich's eye is bigger that its brain.

Now you know!

Fun travels part 2

As I mentioned in a previous post, I want to write about the places that I visited, when Jonathan and I toured a little of each others country. I'm starting with Australia, and in no particular order.
One of my other favorite (they are all favorites) places we visited was the
Adelaide Botanic Garden In Adelaide, South Australia.
It was awesome, I remember a cute little gift shop and a restaurant where they served aligator! We didn't eat there though. Although, just like true caffeine addicts, we sat and had coffee near the pond, while ducks came to check out what we might have for them. This would be a wonderful place for wedding photography!
The garden was opened in 1857 and have been inspired by the Royal Botanic gardens at Kew, England.
I was very impressed with the garden, and have many personal photos of it, which I wish that I could have posted, but I don't have them scanned. But I have taken a few from the website and added them.

If you visit Adelaide (the city of Churches) some time in your future, I hope you visit the gardens, especially if you appreciate the many things nature has to offer.

What do cousins know anyway?

My cousin informed me that my baby (cat) is ugly! Well this face is one that mother (me) loves.

Fun travels

I was sorting out some of my many photographs and putting them into albums today, there were so many! So I started to think of all the places I have been, and thought of sharing some places from time to time on my blog and recommending them to others who may travel to the same places.
The first place that I want to mention is a restaurant in Sydney, Australia called the
Chinta Ria.
Jonathan and I discovered this place accidentally when we were visiting Sydney on one of his trips to Australia. We like doing a lot of walking and love stumbling on things unexpectedly.
It's the most unusual place and has fantastic asian food! So if you are coming to the land of Aus or already live here, this is one to check out.

The light of making things right.

I have been reading some of the Chronicles of Narnia (thanks to a gift from Jonathan). I normally cannot concentrate on fictional books for long, but this book has been rather captivating.
Not so long ago I was lucky enough to watch "The Lion the witch and the wardrobe" on DVD, and enjoyed it. I'm very attentive to sounds and I feel that they add to a movie or play immensely, and at all times capturing the mood that is meant for the scene. My favorite sound in this movie was the sound of the lamp burning in Narnia. I decided to look around the internet for what possible symbolism this lamp added to the story. Being put there by the witch, would make one assume that it was a bad thing. But it was used for good, so then the lamp represented perhaps that God can use something meant for evil, and turn it into something good.
So this can reflect your life in a sense. Past mistakes are things we don't like to think about, I often shudder at my own. But being repentant and moving on with your life, can turn those mistakes and even bad things we have done, into a learning experience. We can use our mistakes to help others not go there and by leanring from them, we can give advice to anyone who asks, or someone we recognize as going down the same path.
In the same way (and of course with His uniqueness) God can be the light, that turns our wrong doings into something that can do good.
God's message of doing good and thinking of others, can go a long way. This also brings to mind, forgiveness and to accept ourselves and others, no matter what we/they have done.
I'm not the most wise person on earth but felt like writing whatever was in my mind today, and since I havent' been able to add much , so there you have it. :)

"Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path."

Still alive

Sorry for the lack of updates, I do love my blog and my readers and fellow bloggers, but have been a little run down and by the time I get home I feel too tired to concentrate on writing much at all.
One thing I did do that was fun today was go out to this big party store called "Lombards" it had balloons, costumes and all the fun party stuff. It made me think how much i'm dying to start planning my wedding! I will make a special blog with info on the planning, and my dress etc. I don't want to do it on this blog because I don't want Jonathan to see my dress yet. I will have to privately give out my new blog address and then show him after the day.
Right now we do not have a date, it is taking a long time I know, but we are going to have a date and when that happens it will be on this blog!
Life can be hectic and terribly busy, I can't wait to get back to my blogging hobby! But just so you know, i'm alive and still here!
